A Note from Melanie Taylor, Vice President of Marketing

It is hard to believe that my period of being “new” to Enchanting Travels has come and gone as I enter my seventh month leading the marketing team. And what a journey it has been!

Learning the ins and outs of a new company is always challenging, but doing so during such a point of inflection and transformation is also humbling. I have learned much more than I ever thought possible. I can now comfortably explain LPG, Artemis and DMC.

But more importantly, I’ve learned so much about the world! Working with a team on four different continents (often at the same time) was/is an unexpected benefit of Enchanting Travels. I’ve loved being exposed to different cultures, holidays, traditions, and ways of working. Despite some early mornings and a few late nights, collaborating with so many smart, caring, deeply committed people who are all focused on making people’s travel dreams come true is truly inspiring.

I’ve also been lucky enough to meet many of you in person. Between visitors to the Denver office, visiting the Travelopia office in the UK, and attending the GMT meeting in Lisbon, it has been so lovely to have 3-D interactions with everyone who typically lives inside Google Meets. The hugs, laughs, idea exchanges were so meaningful, and meeting so many new people that I hadn’t had the pleasure of working with yet was the icing on top.

As we move forward, I’m so excited to continue to shape the Enchanting Travels brand with an amazing team. Our work to develop a new logo and tagline (“The Art of Luxury Custom Travel”), were just the beginning. I believe there is endless potential in emotionally connecting with our guests and to cement our brand as the leader in the industry.

Thank you so much for the very warm welcome. If we haven’t met or if you have any questions or marketing needs, please reach out anytime!

Melanie

GMT Lisbon and Project Jetstream

The main agenda of this Global Management Team Meeting in Lisbon in December 2025 was to Reignite, Realign and Accelerate. Project Jetstream, was launched to stimulate growth, build commercial capabilities and scalabilities and to discuss AI transformation.

The GMT included enlightening and interactive sessions throughout the week, each led by our key functions; Sales, Marketing, Product, Ops, HR and Finance. It was a great opportunity to learn from colleagues around the business and align on shared priorities and most importantly to spend in-person quality time.

Award from Nairobi Chapel for hiring interns. We are proud to share that our Kenya team received a special award from Nairobi Chapel this past October. Beyond the trophy, we value our deep-rooted partnership with the Chapel, supporting their mission through yearly scholarship donations and providing career pathways for their talented interns.

Pedals and Teamwork. On February 13th, our Nairobi team traded their desks for handlebars, enjoying a refreshing cycling excursion through the beautiful Karura Forest (Nairobi Road Forest Sanctuary).

Finance Team Spotlight

This month, we are thrilled to pull back the curtain and showcase our Finance Team. Often seen as the keepers of the spreadsheets, our Finance colleagues do so much more than just “crunch numbers.” They are the strategic architects of our growth, the navigators of our fiscal health, and the partners who help every other department turn ambitious ideas into reality.

Scroll below to put a face to each name that you may have heard in your interactions with them and get to know something meaningful about them as they tell us about a memorable event/journey they experienced or just an interesting anecdote from the last six months.

Boniface Muthui, Finance Coordinator (18 years with ET, Nairobi-Kenya)

In February, I joined my colleagues for a cycling adventure at the Ngong Racecourse Sanctuary, and it turned out to be one of the most refreshing experiences I’ve had in the past few months. Between navigating gentle hills, chatting along the route, and laughing at our occasional wobbly moments, it became a perfect blend of fitness and team bonding.

One of my favorite childhood foods is temple saaru (rasam). Growing up, I often missed it—it was something I truly wished for, either as part of a full meal or just as a comforting soup, but I could rarely have it as life got busy. I’ve been on a mission to recreate the same taste at home, experimenting with recipes from my restaurant friends, cooks, and even YouTube—but I still haven’t been able to match the authentic flavor. Last month, I finally had the chance to enjoy temple “saaru” every day during a temple ceremony, without missing a single day. Each sip brought back childhood memories and reminded me that some flavors and experiences can’t really be replicated—they have to be lived. It was simple, nostalgic, and surprisingly joyful—a small but unforgettable treat.

I joined ET in July 2010 and resigned in Sept 2016. Rejoined in May 2022 and have been with ET since then. Whilst I am from the southern state of Kerala, I had never explored the beauty until last December when I got a chance to visit Munnar with my family. We went hiking and enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and the delicious cuisine. The monsoons are my favorite season of the year as you can tell from my photo.

Over the past year, my family trips took me from the snowy slopes of Kashmir to the tea-scented hills of Kerala. In Gulmarg and Sonmarg, we turned into kids again, catching snowflakes and gliding through the white wonderland. A shikara ride on Dal Lake was pure magic, while a pony ride in Pahalgam gave us just the right dose of adventure.

Fast forward to Kerala, where Munnar and Thekkady wrapped us in green hills and endless tea plantations. And in Alleppey, we slowed down with backwater views right outside our resort. From snowball fights to sipping fresh brews, it was a trip that blended thrill and chill in the best way possible!

A fun event from recent times is my Holi celebration with friends and family. Holi is a popular Indian festival that celebrates the arrival of spring and victory of good over evil. People throw bright coloured powders, dance, eat delicious food and turn the whole day into one, big, joyful colour party.

During a trip to Goa with my brother, I spent time by the sea balancing stones. It was a meaningful reminder that life, much like those stones, requires patience and balance. When you find that right touch, everything stands beautifully in place. It was a wonderful moment of building peace, one small step at a time.

I was just reminiscing about my trip to Goa with family and friends last November—Our journey began at the sun-drenched Arambol Beach, a 16-km bohemian paradise where rugged cliffs met a safe, sparkling shoreline perfect for the kids to explore. In the evenings, we traded the sand for the electric energy of Casino Pride, indulging in gourmet flavors and dazzling live performances that lit up the night. Our final day led us to the historic stones of Aguada Fort, where we marveled at its 17th-century architecture, ancient freshwater spring, and iconic lighthouse. Standing high above the crashing waves, we soaked in a breathtaking panoramic view of the Arabian Sea—the ultimate, serene finale to a truly unforgettable family getaway.

As part of our CSR audit in Pondicherry, we journeyed to the Sadhana Forest, a sanctuary of tranquility where nature and community thrive together. After setting out in the cool hush of early morning and gathering for a warm introduction session, we were invited to experience a unique mud bath crafted for relaxation and renewal. It was surrounded by towering trees and the earthy embrace of the mud felt ground.

One fun event after joining ET was watching the RCB match at a hotel gathering organized by our office. As a true RCB fan, it was a great experience to enjoy the match with colleagues, and it became even more special when RCB won.

I went trekking in Kandaghat, Himachal Pradesh with a group of people I had just met. By the time we reached the top, we realised none of us actually knew the way back , but the orange skies made the adventure completely worth it.
