There is a question that comes up almost every time private aviation enters a conversation: what does it actually cost? It sounds as though there should be a straightforward answer. A flight has a departure point, a destination and a distance, so surely there ought to be a reasonably predictable price attached to it. Yet ask for a private jet from London to Nice on three different dates and you may receive three very different quotations.
