On the banks of the picturesque Vltava River, the highly anticipated Fairmont Golden Prague officially opened its doors Tuesday.

The 320-room property — which sits on Prague's celebrated Parizska Boulevard and was one of our most anticipated hotel openings for 2025 — underwent a multimillion-euro renovation bent on preserving original brutalist features like blown glass chandeliers, gilded light fixtures and ash wood posts first designed in the 1970s, a representative of the hotel told TPG. The building boasts a mix of rooms, suites and serviced residences. It also includes a robust collection of art from the 1960s and 1970s, including chandeliers by Rene Roubicek and ceiling sculptures by Cestmir Kafka.

"The opening of Fairmont Golden Prague is a significant milestone for Fairmont as we continue to grow our presence in Europe," Omer Acar, the chief executive officer of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement shared with TPG. "Prague is a city with an incredible story to tell, and we are honored to play a part in preserving its great heritage. Blending Fairmont's celebratory spirit with the property's architectural grandeur will bring a captivating new luxury hotel experience to the Czech capital, and its innovative restaurant concepts — an exciting new offering to the city's vibrant culinary scene."

The Fairmont Golden Prague's rooms feature rich dark wood floors and traditional Czech glass elements. They offer views of the Vltava River, the city's historical UNESCO-inscribed Old Town or the hotel's courtyard. The property will also include the Fairmont's signature Fairmont Gold rooms, which give guests access to a private check-in along with the Fairmont Gold Lounge, including complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, evening canapes and more.

After a day of exploring the city, guests can relax in one of six bars and restaurants, including the all-day Greenhouse, which celebrates Czech beer culture, complete with views of the river and Prague Castle. Meanwhile, the rooftop fine dining spot Zlata Praha shows off panoramic views of the city beyond.

The hotel's more than 15,000-square-foot spa will offer an extra dose of zen thanks to five treatment suites, a tranquil garden, a trio of saunas, a steam bath and a heated L-shaped indoor and outdoor pool.
