IHG One Rewards recently launched a new promotional rate for its members. This "book early and save" rate is available for stays at select properties in Europe, India, South Asia, Africa and the Middle East when you book by Jan. 21 and stay between Jan. 10 and Oct. 10.
When you book the "Book Early & Save" rate without signing in to an IHG account, you'll receive a 15% discount off the best flexible rate.
However, IHG One Rewards members get an additional discount with the "Book Early And Save Member Exclusive" rate. So, it's certainly worth joining the program and logging in before booking.
IHG's webpage for this promotional rate states you can receive an additional 3% discount if you book through the IHG One Rewards app. You'll see properties with this (or another special rate) marked with a "Special Offer" flag in the search results.
The "book early and save" rate is only available when booking at least three days prior to arrival. Additionally, this rate is nonrefundable and can't be changed or canceled. You'll need to pay in full for your stay before check-in, and your stay will be canceled without a refund if you do not arrive at your hotel to check in on your arrival date.
For some stays, you may also see "Book Early And Save Member Exclusive" rates that include breakfast.
I generally avoid booking nonrefundable stays far in advance unless the deal is amazing. After all, even if I feel confident, life happens, so I may need to cancel or delay my trip for reasons I don't expect. So, think carefully and compare your options before booking any nonrefundable stay, including through the "book early and save" rate.
Also, be sure to consider other rates you could book at the same hotel if you need a flexible cancellation policy. The first two screenshots above are for a four-night stay from March 11 to 15 at Holiday Inn — the niu, Fender Amsterdam in the Netherlands. As a cardholder of the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card (see rates and fees), I could redeem 28,500 points per night after applying my card's fourth-night-free reward benefit for a stay on the same dates.
This means I'd be redeeming $143 worth of points per night based on TPG's January 2026 valuations. Best of all, I'd be able to cancel my stay free of charge until the day of arrival if I redeemed IHG points for this stay.

Bottom line
The "book early and save" rates you can book at select IHG hotels and resorts in Europe, India, South Asia, Africa and the Middle East can offer good savings over the current best flexible rate.
But these "book early and save" rates are nonrefundable and unchangeable. So, you won't be able to capture a lower rate if the price drops, and you'll be locked into staying at that property on the dates you booked, even if your plans change. As such, I only recommend booking a stay at this discounted rate if you're willing to forfeit the stay cost if you're unable to use it.
