Which Credit Cards Are Best for Booking Porter Airlines Flights?

As it stands, Porter Airlines doesn’t offer a co-branded credit card in Canada; however, the airline has signalled that we can expect to see one at some point in the near future.

When considering which credit card to use for Porter Airlines flights, you’ll want to use one that offers strong insurance in the event of any disruptions, lounge access, and points that you can use to book travel in the future.

For cards that earn transferable points, we’d suggest the American Express Platinum Card or the American Express Gold Rewards Card, which both earn 2 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent on travel. Plus, they both offer strong insurance, and a range of other perks and benefits, including lounge access.

For cards that earn fixed-value points, we’d suggest the Scotiabank Platinum American Express® Card, which earns 2 Scene+ points per dollar spent on all eligible purchases, and also comes with strong insurance and lounge access.

Scotiabank Platinum American Express® Card

  • Earn 50,000 Scene+ points upon spending $3,000 in the first three months
  • Earn an additional 10,000 Scene+ points upon spending $10,000 in the first 14 months
  • Plus, earn 2x Scene+ points on all purchases
  • Priority Pass membership with 10 free lounge visits per year
  • Enjoy the exclusive benefits of being an American Express cardholder
  • Annual fee: $399
